The Match was held at Brinsop Hall Farm .Westhoughton .This was the first ploughing contest held in the area for 50 years.
30 ploughs took part and a dry day and good ground conditions made a contest which was enjoyed by everyone who took part,whether competing or spectating. Our thanks go to Graham Farrington for organizing the event and his wife,Shirley, and family for providing the hot- pot for the ploughmen.
Thanks also to Mr Gordon Gregory for allowing us to use his field and the numerous sponsors who provided 6 trophies and raffle prizes.
