SHOW REPORT

The wettest August on record meant that many shows across the country both large and small took the decision to call off their shows .These decisions are not made lightly .The people involved in setting up these shows have given up large ammounts of their spare time in the 12 months between shows and especially in the week previous to the show when the show field is set up .This is the time when dry ground coditions are essential so that all the vehicles involved can get onto the site without damaging the surface.The public parking area together with the horse/livestock transport vehicles is a particular area of concern.The decision to cancel the show came with the poor weather forecast for the week running up to show day and the already poor gound conditions .
The Hog Roast went ahead in the small indoor arena and was enjoyed by all
